Mobile Home Financing

Financing will generally fall into two different categories. These are institutional financing and owner financing. If you are purchasing a new mobile home and have exceptional credit, institutional financing is probably your best bet. If you are purchasing a used mobile home, you may still qualifiy for institutional lending if it is relatively new. Please see our section concerning Mobile Home Mortgages.

If you are planning to purchase a home that is more than a few years old, you may have trouble finding an institutional lender. In that case, you may need owner financing. Please see our section on Mobile Home Loans for more information.

There are a number of options if you need a loan to purchase a mobile home. If you have extremely good credit, you may qualify for institutional lending. Otherwise, owner financing may be your best bet.
